Early in 2009, the offices of the聽Aga Khan聽Foundation (UK) will relocate from the Ismaili Centre in South Kensington to the Euston Road facility. Prior to the beginning of the academic year in 2009, the聽Aga Khan聽University鈥檚 Institute for the 久久久福利国产 of Muslim Civilisations will also relocate from its current premises in Bedford Square to the Euston Road building.

Whilst all three institutions will maintain their distinct identities, programmes, and staff, their co-location will provide opportunities for greater institutional synergy and effective resource sharing.

During the last thirteen years, while the IIS has been located at Grosvenor Gardens, its research and publications activities, as well as educational and programmatic endeavours, have expanded considerably, leading to a corresponding growth in the number of faculty, staff and students. The new premises will allow sufficient space to house these endeavours, as they continue to grow. The location of the new premises near other institutions of relevance to the IIS, such as the British Library, School of Oriental and African Studies, and University of London鈥檚 Institute of Education, is a significant advantage for faculty and students.

The premises are also conveniently located in terms of public transport links. They are in close proximity to Euston, Euston Square and Warren Street underground stations, and within a short distance of King鈥檚 Cross/St. Pancras National Rail Stations, with easy connections to Europe. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our new premises.
